      Re: GMC detailed

      Quite clearly, they are.

I'm sure JG will chime in, but he was probably not paid for a correction. Probably just told to shine it up a bit, which it looks like he did nicely.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Yes they are. All the person wanted was there vehicle cleaned, washed and waxed before going on vacation.

Yeah. Some people don't care what there vehicle looks like as long as it cleaned. Yes I did you a cleaner wax. I usually do when they just want a wash and wax.

Which cleaner wax did you use? D151 or a different one? Machine or hand applied? How much time did it it take to complete, and how much did you charge?

It looks good from a distance but up close you can see defects. Thanks!

I used Meguiars cleaner wax. I did it by hand because they didn't want a buffer to be used. It took me about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Truth be told, the majority of people just want their car clean and shiny, and that's it. Oh, sure, they often think they want the full show car shine, until they find out what it costs - then they change their mind. And there's nothing wrong with that. From a detailer's perspective, if that's all the customer wants and is willing to pay for, then you give them that. If you can exceed their expectations in the process and keep your work time in check with the price of the job, all the better.
