Been meaning to get to this sooner but finally got to detailing my daughter's car today. I started off with a quick look over and decided the paint was pretty clean but full of swirls and RIDS. There was some heavy damage in places that I knew wouldn't come out. We started off with a wash with D114 and after some debating, decided we'd forego claying or decontamination.

After the wash we went straight to correction with the 7424XP, Megs' Ultimate Polish, and Meg's 3" finishing pad. Since we weren't able to get any paint thickness reading, we'd go the least aggressive route. Unfortunately, not enough cut and we weren't getting the results we were looking for. After stepping it up to D300 on the finishing pad we definitely stated getting what we wanted to see.

There were still a few places that could use some correction but being unsure of the paint thickness we decided we'd done a pretty good job. Once all was complete , we hit her with a coat of Ultimate Wax, cleaned up the wheels, and dressed the tires.

Not a bad job I think. And I made $5 off of it. Of course, it's going back in her piggy bank.
