  • 2014 Ferarri 458 Spider - Presidential Automotive Detailing - FL

Please excuse me as Im a little rusty on my write-ups! After about a year waiting for this car to arrive, I finally got a phone call, but the call I got wasnt a good one. Somewhere along the way, the car had been "detailed" before the owner took delivery. Unfortunately, this meant there were buffer "holograms" present throughout the entire cars paint finish. To make things worse, every crevice was caked with white wax/polish residue and every vent had overspray with polish from someone who is inexperienced or in huge rush to get it done. Either way, the owner wasnt happy with what he saw and immediately had me come out to make his brand new 458 look the way it should.

    Pre-Detail Inspection

Large amounts of polish sling in all vents. Customer actually had Ferrari dealer take apart the entire rear section of car to be able to gain access to this area. Hopefully they have learned their lesson.

    More polish..

    Removed.

Even the tail lamps had wax crammed into their crevices.

    Holograms in lenses.

    Wax removed and Lenses Corrected.

    Initial Paint Inspection

Somebody did a number on the finish of this poor 458..nearly every surface on the car was in this condition.

Some deeper scratches near the door handle.

    Post Polishing

    RIDs removed.

    Final Inspection In Direct Sunlight.

    INTERIOR.

Note: Seatbelt is not stained, just a weird shadow in photo.

Finished After Two Coats Of BlackFire Wet Diamond Paint Sealant.

Can anyone guess whats getting pampered next?

And you did a great job on such a beautiful car

What did you use for the correction?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I can't believe that a stealership would let a high end car out looking like that. They totally f@&$#% up the car and they should b the one who pays u. How could even the other detailer look at that and say good enuf? It just amazes me. I do everything as if it we're my own. U have to b proud of ur work. Well anyways great job!!!

Nicely done. Exterior and interior both look stunning. The first "final shots" photo looks like it came from Architectural Digest.

Just curious in the first photo, what is atop the tripod on the passenger's side of the car?

I think it's his lamp, but I am curious as the make and model of the lamp being used?

Thank you! I used M205 on a Orange pad for most of the correction. M105 in a couple trouble spots.

Yep, thats just a LED lamp. I found it at my local Home Depot. Works great and is much cooler than baking under heat lamps!
