Memorial Day weekend detail.

  • Memorial Day weekend detail.

    Started on Thursday afternoon (4hrs), Friday (6hrs), Saturday (8 hrs)

    Removed each wheel:
    • Cleaned tires with Tuf Shine tire cleaner
    • Cleaned wheels with Griot's Garage Wheel Cleaner
    • Cleaned back of wheels with Meguiar's Wheel Brighter (diluted)
    • Clayed each wheel with Meguiar's mild clay/using Last Touch as lubricant
    • Polish/waxed each wheel with Meguiar' 66 using Mother's cone and small buffer and hand pad


    Cleaned under hood:
    • Removed all the plastic panels, cleaned with Meguiar's APC and treated with Hyper Dressing
    • Blew out all dust with compressed air
    • Sprayed down engine area with light water and APC
    • Used small Daytona brush and towels to clean up visible areas
    • Blow dry with leaf blower
    • Treated visible plastic and rubber with Hyper Dressing


    Paint
    • Wash with Meguiar's Hyper Wash
    • Clayed with Meguiar's Mild Clay w/Last Touch as Lubricant
    • Meguiar's DA Microfiber D300 Correction Compound with PC 7424 @5
    • Meguiar's DA Microfiber D301 Finishing Wax with PC 7424 @ 4.5
    • Meguiar's 26 Yellow wax by hand


    Other Exterior
    • Treated exterior rubber with Meguiar's All Season Dressing
    • Windows clayed with Meguiar's mild clay with Last Touch as Lubricant
    • Washed windows with Meguiar's Glass Cleaner
    • Final wipe down with Meguiar's Last Touch

      Wow! That looks amazing! I bet you feel like a million bucks driving that car after all your hard work. If you're like me, you probably just want to admire it and not even drive it yet lol!

        Right on! It will just get dusty!..plus here in the Northwest..showers are always in the forecast this time of year!
