  • 2008 Mazda CX-9 Paint Correction

Hello every one this is my first write up, we just picked up this mazda about a month ago. Its the first dark colored vehicle I have owned. when we were looking at it at the dealer the paint was the first thing I looked at. It was trashed it had swirls over swirls and plenty RIDS.
First thing I did was give it a thorough wash.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Next was a good claying the paint felt like sand paper this was after a two foot square.

    [IMG][/IMG]

After claying I pulled out UC and a yellow megs 2.0 polishing pad.
    50/50

Better but not good enough. the paint had a bad texture to it like it has hard water etching.
Frustrated I knew I needed somthing stronger, so I ordered a DAMFS this would be my first time trying it out.

    A week later...

Excited the hood was the first thing I started on. Im glad I did becouse it worked flawlessly.

    next was the drivers door

    Before

    50/50

I didnt get good afters but I did get one.
    oh hi!!

Great job on your car, and the kit you selected was a perfect choice for remediation!

      Well done!

It came out very good. The DAMF system works great.

              Very nice work!

Is that the Mazda plum color? That's an amazing color in the sun when it's all clean, polished and waxed.

Did you end up just using the D300 + MF cutting pad, or did you finish up with D301 + MF finishing pad as well?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
