Took up a friend's car as a challenge sicne I was very much bored to death detailing my car over and over again. No more panels left to rub
Please excuse me since I haven't taken much before pictures. I was much eager to start attacking the paint right away!
Many panels were repainted single stage, untouched panels were BC/CC.
I did a test spot and concluded on the below steps:
Machine : SKIL (cheapo bosch) Rotary with Meguiars W64 backing plate
Compounding : Meguiars Cut n Finish with LC Orange pad
Polishing : Meguiars 205 with W8207
LSP : Meguiars M21
Before, all panels were equally trashed. I dont have a wool pad; I corrected as many defects as I could with a foam pad.

50/50 with one pass of Megs Cut n Finish with LC Orange pad:

More pictures after compounding :

End of Day 1, compounding finished:

For the second day I briskly went with the car and polished the car with M205 and Megs Polishing pad.
M205 after pics:

Applied M21 and here are the pics:

Took the car out in the evening to return it, managed to snap few pics. No sun shots since it was evening and a cloudy day.

I have a couple of doubts though,
1. I expected M21 to give a glossy shine and I ended up with a deep wet red look instead. I had previously done the hood with M26 and it left a similar look. went ahead with M21 for a glossy shine. What can I use to get a glossy shine instead since the owner prefers gloss more?
2. Does the before pic I have posted really warrant the use of a wool pad? I have never used a wool pad and am quite scared of burning paint with it.
3. Is it safe to use Hyper Dressing on Carbon fibre black vinyl? If not what are the safe products? Waxes/M21 stain them.
