So I was contacted to tackle this 91 Pontiac Trans Am. Upon arrival I found this car swirled out and rough to the touch. Being that it was black well it looked better in the shade than the sun but thats what I was there for.
I got the wash all done and the claying finished. Well when I stated claying I got a surprise that I wasn't expecting…… SOFT SOFT PAINT!!!! So you will see in the photos below my speedy prep towel marred the **** out of there paint and so begins my great day.
After getting the car dried and tapped of time for a test spot. Well lets just say I am glad I had all my polishers. I tried my Flex today with my hybrid pads and about everything I tried and every combo I could not get this paint to finish down at all. After lots of trial and error I finally got a combo that worked:
Rupes and polishing pad with Sonax Perfect finish followed by M205 on a LC hydrotech pad on my GG6"

And that concludes the "Wonderful" Black Trans Am
