So this weekend brings a 2014 Ford Escape. Why would someone bring me a brand new car, only 507 miles on it? Well duh the dealership "prepped" it for sale. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH RIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
This thing needed some help, the customer wasn't happy with they way they "prepped" it for him. They left writing on the window (in orange/pinkish), left some kind of writing that said OC and underlined on one of the rims, left on ALL the rims, a sticker than said "peel here". These stickers were YELLOW, so you can see them very clearly on the Silver cleared coated rims, water spots on all the jambs, under the hood (in a seam) left over Wax in the cracks, and then there is the fact the paint felt like sandpaper.
SOOOO here I come in to do it right.
This was an exterior only job with a time frame of around 5 to 5-1/2 hours completed.
No wash
Needed a quick detail and some minor debugging.
Last Touch and Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover
Some bugs were etched already and some minor flaws in and out the front and hood area - (used Meguiar's Paint Cleaner to remove those stubborn ones)
Clay bar for smaller areas and Nanoskin Autscrub pad for the bigger ones
#7 Show Car Glaze
Followed with Last Touch wipe
NXT 2.0 Tech Wax
Topped with Deep Crystal Carnuba
Endurance on tires
Last touch on wheels (just dusty)
Meguiar's Brake Dust Barrier
Ultimate Black on all exterior plastic trim
Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner
Doors jambs cleaned with APC+ then Last Touch
Final piece another Last Touch wipe down
And see the beautiful results! Customer loved it. Yes it shined before, but there is an extra deep gloss and wet look. I only did a few before pictures.
Here are a couple photos of the hood area I did for the customer before he left it with me.
The left side was last touched and clayed only. Look at the difference from the left side and the untouched right side showing all those surface contaminates.

Entire area cleaned and clayed. No polish or wax.
