Here we have a beautiful little BMW.
My customer fixes these up and sells them.
He had a bad Body Shop experience (I've never really heard of anyone having a good experience with a BS) with this repaint so he called on me to fix it up.

It had Orange Peel everywhere and waves along the body lines on the doors.

I had a little problem pulling out the 1500 grit sanding marks but with a little help from Stoops we figured it out.

I started with sanding with Meg's 1500 Unigrit 6" sanding disks on my G100
Then used Meg's Unigrit 2000 grit Sanding Block
and then Meg's Unigrit 3000 on my DA with the foam interface.

M105 on a MF cutting pad polished it up nicely and finished with D301 on a MF Finish pad.

The job took 16 man hrs in 90 degree heat.

    Looks good!

After a short sanding I knew this was going to take some time to correct it properly

You have to have this sanding pad if you want to do it right.

The sanding pad helps get around the curves of this little cutie!

    Also used 3" MF pad

    The 6" interface pad

I love these little sanding blocks! They make the paint flat, very flat! Chip Foose uses these to sand a whole car!

And the end results. The sun was setting and it being a white car the pics don't doe it justice.

    Here's a good shot

Thanks to M. Stoop for his help. I always know I can count on him and Meguiar's to help me make others happy with there cars.

Wow amazing job Mario! That was a lot of work and it speaks of how good of a detailer you are.

It must be a nice treat for M. Stoops to help you out!!!

Looks GREAT!!! Nothing like flat shiny paint to give you the warm fuzzies!

Those after shots pretty clearly show the lack of texture after you finished - the reflections of the trees are pretty crisp, and the texture before you started was really bad!

And, yes, my assistance was nothing more than some suggestions over the phone, but I would have loved to get my hands on this little German classic.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
