  • New Porsche meets Meguiar's New Black Wax

Brand new Porsche that needed some protection.
It's a lease so he opted for a wax instead of a coating so I choice Meguiar's New Black Wax to give this beauty the shine and glow it needed.

Waterless Washed, lightly clayed then BW and a Soft Buff Pad on my Flex.
Washed the rims with Wheel Brightener and then coated them with Break Dust Barrier so in the future they will clean up easy.

    The Before Pics.

The car wasn't in bad shape at all. It had a few spider webs but that was about it.

Here you can see the "no attention to detail" from the "dealer prep"

The rims were caked with break dust and dirt. They were in desperate need of a good cleaning and more importantly PROTECTION.

All set up with my new van. It looks good but still not good enough.

All the plastic trim that would be touched by my pad and wax was taped off.

My weapons of choice. Red Flex, Yellow Pad & Black Wax

    All waxed up

And the finished product. It still needs some more love to remove all the spider webs but my customer love it and that's all that counts.

Rims are all clean and protected with break dust barrier.

If you were to remove the spiders, what would you have used? Newbie here.

There are a variety of options available to do this, depending on how the paint responds. Our Ultimate Compound with a foam polishing pad usually does an outstanding job on swirls like these (or even much worse) but, knowing that Porsche paint can tend to be on the soft and delicate side, it may well be that M205 on a polishing pad is all that's needed to fully remove them. In the case of this car it sounds like the owner was just looking for a quick one step to brighten up this leased car rather than the full on correction that an owner might want.

Wow looks great. What sort of technique did you use (arm speed, machine speed etc)? Did you work it like a polish or spread it more like a wax?

205 is my goto on polish. Most likely I would have used a microfiber pad but like Mike stated these paints are soft/sensitive so maybe a foam pad would have worked.

I used it like a polish, black loves polishing. So about 4-6 passes per area. Medium arm speed. Flex was on 3.

Looks great, sure there may be some very light swirls left, but it's close to perfect. Black wax seems to be a winner, this wax has yet to receive any negative user reviews, unlike the Ultimate Wax Liquid when it was first launched. Now I want both the Black Wax and a black Porsche!!
