    Radom Act of Polishing

    So my kids' Piano Teacher comes to the house today in his normal dirty car. He pulled up to the garage door I had open, parked and went inside for the lessons.
    About a year ago I washed his car for him while he was here and today it didn't look like it had been washed since then. What I really noticed was how badly oxidized and yellow his headlights were.


    Since I had read Mike's comments about using Ultimate Compound for mild headlight restoration and had been looking for more uses for my new DAPS; I pulled out the drill, UC, PlastX, some APC+ and started cleaning.

    Here is how it ended up.



    Not perfect but a big improvement. I wonder if he will notice his lights shine brighter tonight.

    The other side picture came out sharper.

    Nice work!

    Is that with UC or PlastX or both?

    Did you tell him / show him the results?

      nice job!
      I do this all the time for my customers who don't want to pay me to correct them properly. A little 105 on a 3" pad does wonders and just take a few mins.

        Thanks.
        It was 2 passes with UC, Once over with PlastX, and a coat of ULW.
        I didn't tell him about it. Thought it would be fun to see if he notices it by himself.

              Well PianoMan did notice the difference in his headlights. At the next lesson he asked me what I had done.
              He said when he was driving one night he thought he had his high beams on because there was so much more light on the road.
              He tucked a dollar in my shirt pocket as he left the house - HaHa.

                  Nice work! It's amazing how easy this actually is to do, yet so many cars are still driving around with lenses that barely let any light out.
