Detailed a customer's Evo 6 Tommi Makinen edition.

This is a rare car, and it has been a privilege to detail such a car in my driveway.

I got to use the DA POWER system for waxing and of course a bit of scratch X for a little bit of paint correction.

One thing I noticed was, The wheels were very difficult to clean, and I thought about busting out my steam cleaner to see if that would do a job.

Perhaps some type of wheel cleaner from Meguiars could be of good use.

Another thing was the Wax. It was very tough to see because the car is white.

That's awesome I loved those cars. Ands its on Japanese plates, nice.

Meguiars wheel cleaner (blue one) would work. If it is a bigger job you could check out sonax.
also have you tried wheel woolies yet? I prefer these over the oversized pipe cleaner wheel brushes.

Meguiar's hot rims aluminum wheel cleaner?

I was looking into something from the Professional detailer line, but it seems like it may be a risky move because (of chemical acids) I don't know of the quality of wheels he actually has. This is a 13 year old car after all.

I'm gonna experiment with the steam cleaner i have on my own car, and next time see if I get the chance to try it on his wheels.

The DA power system was good for this car due to the many small sections of bumps on the hood, fenders, and also the wing.
