  • 2007 Chevrolet TBSS gets Whie Wax

My wife's daily driver was in need of a spring clean up. This vehicle is a couple weeks away from 100,000 miles. I took it to the hose it off yourself place and gave it a 5-6 minute rinse. I then went home and cleaned it with DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss. I clayed it using the same product as before but at the clay lube ratio. Then it was on to "polishing." I applied the new White Wax on a 6" Lake Country white pad with my Griot's Garage DA polisher. I used speed 1 to spread the wax and used speed 4.5 with moderate pressure to clean the paint. Doing this removed 90+% of the swirls/scratches in the finish. I was surprised at how dirty the pads were when done even though I cleaned them with a brush after each panel.

All in all I think Meguiar's has hit a home run with this time saver. It's an all in one product, available over the counter, that works!

The interior just needed a quick wipe down with Quik Interior Detailer Spray.

^Six years and almost 100,000 miles of Chicago expressway commuting and I've been able to keep it up like this.^

^Who says silver can't reflect?! BAM! Mythbusted! ^

Tires and trim got Hyper Dressing at 3:1.

I'm now looking forward to doing my monster in law's white Impala.

    Looks amazing Paul.

I hope my van looks like that when it turns 100k.

Nice work. Yes myth is busted, as I've got some of my silver GP on here. Definitely reflects. And did you steal my tree? lol Funny. My hood pic, silver car!!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

              Looks awesome!

From what I have understand the White Wax is a AIO, comparing to M06, which one gives the best shine and cut on swirls?

Thank you Nick. It's good to see you here on MOL, hadn't seen any new posts from you since early winter.

Thank you. The mechanic that did the brake job on it today said the same thing.

Lol, I did see your post, but no, I did not steal your tree. We all have several trees and it's a chore to find an angle w/no trees. What I was keying on in the pic was the neighbor's house, the tree just got in the way.

Thank you Bjoern. I've never used M06 but maybe one our fellow MOL board members have and can comment.

BTW: We were awoken at 4:30 AM by a heavy thunderstorm, proving once again we car nuts can make it rain at will.

lol yeah, I've had it out on a few Sunday drives and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

It's still managing to escape the "daily grind" though!
