Re: Cadi CTSV Supercharged with Black Wax
Nice job. Black wax gave a decent correction for an AIO, no word on longevity yet?

Re: Cadi CTSV Supercharged with Black Wax
Well I'm glad you like the write up on Black Wax.
Using UP might be a good idea but I would try a Soft Buff yellow pad and Black Wax the way I did. It might give you the results your looking for as it is a "light" polish.
I don't top, don't like it and in most cases actually removes more wax then if you left the original coat of wax.
But do what you like. As Mike Phillips says "Use what you like and works for you"

I'm trying to take better pics and not running home as fast as I can after I get the job done, lol.
A little drive around the block, 15 mins of time and I got some good pics. Plus I couldn't pass up the Blimp Hanger in the reflection shots.
Maybe UP and polishing pad, BL Wax and finishing pad, and then top it with Souveran?

I picked up Black Wax a few weeks back after I saw want you did with it, but always applied it with Black pad.
So yes please use the yellow pads, you'll love them.
No I didn't put anything on top of the Black Wax. I don't do double the work/top wax.

The Black pad really has no correction abilities and I really don't use those.
So the use of a yellow Soft Buff pad is the right choice.

Re: Cadi CTSV Supercharged with Black Wax
Why is black wax recommended for use with yellow pad instead of black pad? Would black pad just yield less corrections?

WOW looks great!
Looks like the black wax did a great job removing some of the swirls. Or maybe it was the polishing oils in the black wax covering them up?

Cadi CTSV Supercharged with Black Wax
So here is one of my good customers that had alot of RIDS on his beautiful CTSV that I'm guessing his former detailer didn't care about.
For his monthly detail I chose to polish this with Black Wax so I can make a post for the member her on MOL to see what you can do with this wax and a DA.
So this wasn't a paint correction or even a paid polish but it was a beautiful day and I said let's do it for my fellow MOL members!
I waterless washed with Aquanil, prepped with Speedy Prep Towel and Black Wax on a yellow pad and my Flex.
This car needed M105 and 6 hrs of polishing but that's for another day when I'll get paid for it.
So the paint isn't perfect but it is beautiful!
The before pics:
Looks like the responsible thing to do in this neighborhood is to NOT USE WATER and pollute the ocean. (I'll protect your environment little Dolphins! If you check the links on my web page you find the Pacific Marine Mammal Rescue Center's link that I donate to.)
I LOVE MY OCEAN!
All set up and ready to work
I used alot of product on this car, well to me I did. This was my prep amount and then I use about the same amount per area I worked.
I use two different lights. The Xenon of course and then my Stanly for a whiter light
So someone said Black Wax had pigment in it. It doesn't. Here it is on the lights and what my pad looked like when I was using.
OMG! I MESSED IT ALL UP! JK, just the dry wax.
The finished product of my labor. About and two hours of actual polishing.
Even with the paint defects still there this car looks wet, deep and dark!
El Toro Marine Base Blimp Hanger in this reflection shot. The new Top Gear is filmed here.
You can see the RIDS but this car looks great!
You can see some of the defects but it's not noticeable while looking at this awesome shine.
Nice reflection of the beautiful neighborhood
No I didn't pollute the ocean today! Your welcome Mother Earth. I'm doing my part, and you should too.
So I'm telling you, YOU can get this kind of shine without using 40 gals of water and polluting the earth. Oh and the water going into the drain is from my customer's neighbor washing his car the "old fashion way"
Meguiar's reflecting Meguiar's! I stopped someone walking by to hold Meguiar's banner for me.
Nice hood refection of the Detail van that got this job done.
It's like a mirror.
So you to can get this kind of results with a DA and the new Black Wax by Meguiar's.
I did this car in a simple matter so you, the average enthusiast, can see what you can do with these awesome tools that Meguiar's provides you Car Crazy people!Tags: None
