  • Old Xterra "for sale" Detail

Here we have an '01 Nissan Xterra that has served this family well and now it's time to sell it. So the customer didn't want any paint correction.
So a good power wash, clay N spray and carpet extraction were on the menu today.

    Exterior:
    Shampoo Plus
    Speedy Prep Wash Mit
    D 156 Express Wax
    Tire & Trim Gel-Trim
    Hyper Dressing-Tires
    M20 on the headlights

    Interior:
    Carpet Extractor Machine
    APC+ as needed.
    Croftgate Odor Eliminator

    Before:

Spider webs, I guess it's been sitting awhile?

    No reflection at all

Luckily they had Husky liners in it so it's alot cleaner then if they didn't have these in there

lots of swirls and paint defects

D156 does not correction but just shines it up a little

M66 did a little correction but not enough

M105 & MF Cutting Pad did the job but the customer still didn't want it so 156 it is.

The headlights were old plastic lenses with no UV coating so just to do a free job on these a light waxing made them not faded anymore.

3m polishing pad and some M20 for 30 sec. did the job

I flipped the car on it's tail so I could easily rest the polisher on the headlights

better, especially for a free job, now you can see through them

    After:
It got late and barley got some after shots. This car shines but defiantly needs some more love.

The trees around here were dropping stuff on the truck while I was taking pics

Here's a video of the filth that came out of the interior. (sorry for the heavy breathing, lol)

Looks good. I'd like to see the front after you cleaned and dressed the trim. That was FADED! lol Also love the stuff hanging out of the drain in the video. I always love showing my clients the dirt that comes out and that is just with my little green machine shampooer. I still want a carpet extractor, but will have to wait another year or so for that.

      Wow looks good.

You said the customer did not want the paint corrected but you ended up correcting the paint?

^^^ No, those were test spots to show the customers there options. I was going to 66 it anyways but 66 didn't correct enough to justify the time I would have put into it for nothing but making me happy and I'm not the customer, lol.

Look at the sides to see the improvement in the trim. I'm so bad at taking pictures after the job is done. All I want to do is leave.
My carpet extractor came from a friend who's in the carpet cleaning business. He sold me this cheap. They are usually around $2,000. So I'm very fortunate to have this machine. I've found a good machine somewhere for around $600 that's alot smaller and looks nicer.

Here's my customers review of the yob.

"Mario went above and beyond when detailing our severely neglected car. (years of high school, college, city drivers... no garaging etc.) The car sparkles, inside and out, and we know we'll be able to sell it for top dollar. Mario arrived on time, explained all that he would be doing, the amount of time it would take him to perform the task and what the final product would look like. I highly recommend him... he is very professional and complete. We will definitely use him for our other cars in the future."

that's good for my fragile ego, lol.

Looks good! They would have been paid back multiple times when they sell it had they agreed to do the paint correction.

You're too nice mario. Unless they have money to spend, they don't get anything from me.

Well except for friends and family. I've did a few trashed flipper landrovers that needed every inch pressure washed to remove mold from sitting in a field for years.

They paid top dollar, before the job was done and a tip.
