This customer got this car with an unknown repaint that looked like gas was spilled all over it. He tried to fix it himself by hand, immediately gave up and called me. After a quick evaluation and a text pic to the paint whisperer it was decided this was oxidization.
After waterless wash and Speedy prep towel I broke out my new DeWalt rotary polisher, wool pad, 105 and polished it for 12 hrs. Now this being a race car we just wanted to "make it better". I could have polished this for another 12 hrs. but that wasn't in his budget so this car isn't perfect but a heck of alot better.
After polishing and another waterless wash I used a Flex, Meg's yellow pad and the new Black Wax that is made out of fossilized wax derived from brown coal. So cool. I had high expectations for this wax and I didn't disappoint.
Here are the before pictures:

of course there was water spots all over the front hood and fender

I never had this problem before: Tire rubber from burnouts on the strip

A little Tarminator soaked for a few mins took this rubber off with no problem

The paint had no reflection at all

50/50 shot after a few passes with the wool pad/105

My tool for the job.

This wasn't single stag paint nor a Clear Coat/Base Coat. So enamel? Acrylic? Don't really know what kind of paint this was. A little color was transfered to my pads but not alot.

Switching pad/heads to fit into the tight places

After a few passes

That's better!!

Here is what the paint looked like 2 days later. I had already started to oxidize again!!!

So here's the Black Wax and the Flex set up I used.
A lot of you are always asking; "what is prepping the pad?" Well in this case I used 4 drops at first and then 2 smaller drops as needed per X' sections.

Action shot!

I was hoping the polish would be enough to remove the buffer marks I had and IT DID!!!
Here are the buffer marks/holograms

This was a shot just after a few passes with Black Wax! I was very impressed with it cutting/polishing abilities. A few more passes and the paint was perfect.

Here is the amount of product I was using per section, only a tiny bit did the trick just fine.

So I only used maybe half an oz? Not alot of product to get this car all purdy.

Behold! The beauty of 105 and 2 million year old wax!
