  • 2011 Chevy Equinox clean-up

Today, I had a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD scheduled for a interior/exterior/clay/wax scheduled. Only 29076 km. The lady said she was ashamed to bring in the me in such bad condition !
As you can see in the before pictures, the poor truck was really in need of a good clean-up.
The main goal was to clean the car real good, then do a quick wax job so the paint can have some protection.

    Interior :
    Vacuum
Plastics cleaned using warm water and APC+
Carpet cleaned using D102 Carpet Cleaner
Glass cleaned using Perfact Clarity Glass Cleaner
Quick Interior Detailer as a final wipe on the plastics

    Exterior :
Wheels, wells and tires cleaned with APC and Gold Class Soap
    Washed with Gold Class soap
    Clayed with Meg's blue clay
    Rewashed with Gold Class
Waxed with D301 Finishing Wax on a green LC pad
Xpress Synthetic Liquid Wax as a final wipe
ASD on all plastics trims, pads and in the wells
Endurance Tires Spray (x2) on the tires

    Before :

    Bugs, lot on bugs !

    Yuck !!!!!!

Wow, what a turn around! I wonder if the dealer feels they've gotten enough free advertising on the car. Just the badge on the hatch bothers me enough, and then they have to have a sticker on the front too? Jeez.

I cleaned this Equinox in July of last year when it was less than a year old and it was just as bad. It's not cleaned often but as least it did not have much swirls.

Nice work on that filthy SUV!
I noticed you used D301 wax....i guess wax is wax regardless of how it's applied, less aggressive on a foam pad versus mf?

I like to use the D301 Wax with a LC green pad for those quick wax jobs. The mf pad needs to be cleaned more often than the foam pad. Seems to work just as good for me. D301 is rather cheap, hide swirls and leave a nice shine.
