I was suppose to have the car from Saturday to Wednesday but his FL trip got cut short because of weather so I finished by Monday morning for him. I do it as a hobby after work and i'm kinda slow still. I didn't get to take the pictures like I wanted to due to time frame so please excuse the cell phone pictures. I like detailing when I get better at it Ill work on the picture taking part. Note I need a inspection light.
Couple of before pics.
Water spots rear driver fender
Swirl mark

I have more before shots but they all show what those two pics show water spots and swirls over the whole car. Add to that bugs and dirt.
I didn't get pics of all my test passes but I did snap a few. After starting with my usual test spot swirX yellow pad, it helps me adjust speed and work size two things I have problems with. I learned what people mean when they say hard clear. I went to D300 on a MF pad and did a couple of test spots trying to find the pressure, speed and # of passes I had to do. I started with my normal 6 passes per section 4 med to hard and 2 med to light depending on the paint and I couldn't find the corrections I was looking for. I ended up with 4 hard passes then wipe section mist pad with D155 and do 4 more med to hard passes. A few sections required one more section pass of 4. These test spots are just some random I snapped.
Before, also all these test passes are D300MF just different pressure speed and passes.

after

After finding what worked I worked a couple of panels then called it a night. Next day tried to get a couple before after sun pics D300 only

After D300 this is some of the results.
Hood Passenger fender refelction

Rear driver fender where those water spots were.

Last black I did A jeep I went straight to D301 and called it a day it looked great but I wanted to try a step in between this time I went UP on the yellow pad
Here it is after D300MF UP yellow. Did the UP help I think It added gloss and darken it I could be just trying to justify the extra step to myself. Waiting on D301

D301 I almost skipped it and went to my LSP but I love how D301 follows up on D300 and its so easy to work with so I couldn't talk myself into skipping it. Plus I wanted to try topping it with a free BFWD sample I got. Here is the D301.

I have been having a small streaking problem with ULW and wanted to try the BFWD on a black car so I topped the D301 with and let it sit for a couple hours. BFWD easy to work with came off with out a problem. I found that with BFWD and NO.845 I used last week what people mean when they say thin I now think my problems with ULW was from me not the wax. I thought I was thin but now I know I can go thinner. BFWD and tucked away for the night.

Four hours later woke up and went and wiped wax off here are the results first in shop

Then outside

Big nasty water spots gone. Same driver rear fender from before pics

Thanks for looking.
