Can't believe the difference Meguiar's products made on this 20 year old paint. This is the first car I've ever really followed the proper process for restoration on (wash, clay, polish, wax). In the past I've always been a wash and wax guy leaving out the other steps. This paint is extremely finicky in that any water other than that treated with ONR (Haven't tried MNR yet) causes immediate streaks and spots that don't go away without polishing! PITA! While the car has been mechanically maintained very well, I've never really babied the paint. Not sure what lit the fire under my rear end but I'm glad it was lit!
The hood and trunk lid still look pretty rough any closer than 5' away so in the next few weeks I'm going to buff it down with Ultimate Compound then hit it with the polish and wax again.
One question I have is how many coats of Nxt 2 should I layer on? Has two on it already. Will more really protect it any better than it is now?
Can't believe I paid $10 a bottle for this stuff and got these results. Thanks Meguiar's!
