  • 1966 Plymouth Satellite 440. Plum Crazy!

A few weeks ago I received a call for another cut and buff. This was painted at another body shop by an old man who should lay down the gun and call it quits. He does not have the best eye for error and he does not prep he shop properly allowing dust to kick up and get into the paint. I have a few photos for examples of the dust I had to wet-sand out. I did not have any photos of some of the areas where the color didn't match. Anyways onto the pictures...

In the last photo you can see scratch marks from the body shop after they made an attempt to wet-sanded and polish the car. Next to the sanding marks you can see some kind of dip in the paint.

    edited for some color pop

Some of the parts were not yet bolted back on the car, such as the hockey sticks on the rear pillars. The emblem on the rear pillar was shaved off. I think the hockey sticks should've been shaved too but to each his own. I definitely loved this color as well as the car as a whole by the time I was finished.

    Nice work!

    That's a beautiful old Plymouth..

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
