This was how I spent my Sunday afternoon. This is lady ctgrenade's Yellow 2001 Ford Escape.

As you can see from the before shots it was quite dirty, especially the front wheels. Keep in mind as stated in the thread name no paint correction was done other than clay barring. That will come later once I can get a G110.
Phase 1: The Wash
What I used
Meguiars Deep Crystal Car Wash
2 Buckets-One for the wash solution, one for rinsing the mitts out after each section
2 Wash Mitts-One for the upper half, one for the lower half and tires
1 Tire Brush
1 Absorber
My process
1. Rinse the entire car top to bottom
2. Wash a section at a time from the top down on the painted surfaces and glass (the top half if you will)
3. Empty rinse bucket and refill with fresh water
4. Wash the lower half of the car (rubber trim)
5. Empty rinse bucket once more (water was pretty dirty) and refill
6. Wash the wheels and tires one at a time.
7. Empty rinse bucket (water was really dirty)
8. Rinse the car top to bottom letting the water flow off.
9. Dry the car with the absorber.
Total Time-Approximately an hour and 15-20 minutes.
Phase 2: The Claying
After washing the car looked clean but you could hear my hand running across the paint. Lots of deeply embedded dirt and grime. We're talking about 10 years worth cause I doubt the previous owner or the dealership did any claying. So out came the Meguiars Quik Detailer and the clay bar.

Total Time: Around 2 hours
Next the car got a hand applied coat of Meguiars Ultimate Polish to bring out the yellow.
The final step was a hand applied coat of Meguiars Gold Class Carnuba Plus Premium Liquid Wax. Altogether these two steps took about an hour and 15 minutes.
This was the final result.

Eventually I wanna get working on paint correction. But before that I'm probably gonna give the interior a good scrubbing. For the purposes of this part of the detail I just power washed the floor mats, got rid of all the garbage and gave it a good vacuuming. Oh and cleaned the glass obviously.
