  • 2009 Chevy Avalanche

This Chevy Avalanche was in for a full exterior/interior detail. The engine was serviced as well. I also took the bed apart and did a complete degreasing & recon of the removable trim pieces & cleaned the bed itself. The jambs & shuts that lead into the cab from the bed were also treated.

The Avalanche is owned by a construction & development company in northern Illinois, depending on how this job went It was very possible I would have the chance to service many more vehicles for the President of this company. So this one had to be done 100% right.

    Interior before:

    Vacumm.
Vinyl cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner & hot water mix.
Carpets shampooed with 3D Carpet Shampoo.
Plastics treated with Quik Interior Detailer.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
Removable vinyl inserts cleaned soaked with Dawn Power Clean.
    HD POXY on painted trim.
3D Odor Eliminator applied to fabric & upholstery.

I wanted to again mention the Dawn Power Clean, I use it for cleaning & soaking nasty greasy interior pieces, tires, & undercarriages (cupholder inserts, etc) since a nice gentle car shampoo is not meant for this. Also I prefer to buy Dawn over other brand dish soaps since you can quickly and easily visit their website & enter the code on the bottle you purchased to donate $1 to saving wildlife. Doesnt cost you anything except maybe 30 seconds of your time.

    After:

    Exterior before:

All the pieces to the bed were removed as stated before, to be cleaned & dressed seperately.

    Wash/Prep:

Truck bed swept & vacummed of loose debris.
    Pressure Washed.
    Foamed/washed with 3D Wash & Wax.
Tires, wells, truck bed, floor mats, & vinyl tops, degreased with 3D Yellow Degreaser 4:1.
Jambs degreased with 3D Orange Degreaser 4:1.
    IronX
    Clayed while washing.
    Pressure wash.

Heres a few shots of the bed after the degreasing, which took forever. Prep time alone was just over 3.5 hrs. I had to do it outside too otherwise it wouldnt have came out as good.

It rained in the late afternoon after the degreasing process. Looks a lot better just after being properly cleaned:

The paint was beading from just the ONR clay lube solution & being contaminant free.

The next day I detailed the exterior,

Tar treated with Goof Off & Body Solvent.
    LSP was HD POXY.
Roof & wheels got 2 coats of Opti-Seal.
Tires dressed with 3D Ultra Thick Protectant.
Wheel wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing 1:1.
Jambs washed witn ONR, hoses treated with 3D Trim Care Protectant.

The trim was a seperate process in its own.

The vinyl tops were reconditioned with 2 coats of All Season Dressing topped with 3D Ultra Thick Protectant. This was put on with a small paint roller. All the trim around & in the bed & compartments was dressed with All Season Dressing & a paintbrush.

    Heres the vinyl top curing:

    Truck bed:

    Afters:

Client was very happy with the finished truck.
