  • Detailed Nissan 350Z

First time detailing Nissan and I have to say it was nice to work on one, as the paint is not hard nor soft. It did take however around 10 hours to finish the car because the bumper was sanded with 1000 grit I believe (was delivered like that to me).

We did agree on price and for that price I did just the exterior, basically every part that had paint on it. I didn't touch windows or exteriors (but did wipe down rims)

    Washed it with Meguiar's soap
M105 & D300 with MF Pad on DA polisher (correction step)
D301 with MF pad on DA polisher (finishing step)
    Wipe down with MF towel

Here's how it arrived to me.

Like I noted above, bumper was sanded with probably 1000 grit paper

This side of the car seemed like it was sanded with 2000 grit? Idk, it looked weird to me.

Here's how the trunk lid looked like

Roof was horrible and took around 1.5 hours to make it look good

Sanded bumper up close and some 50/50 and after shots

And finally like it looked after I was done with it.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice job on detailing that Z! You pretty much eliminated all the sanding scratches by just using the MF cutting compound with a mix of 105. That just speaks of how well the MF system works. The car looks a ton better overall.

      Very nice work.

You had some serious staff to deal with: nasty swirls and sanding marks. It all came out great.

      The Z looks sweet.

Awesome work! Love the Z's. That carbon fiber hood doesn't seem to fit very well.....just my opinion. And those things aren't cheap!
        Black......the ONLY color!

Thank you! Yes, I decided to try M105 on MF disk and to my result it worked awesome. I did help a lot when removing sanding marks. My goal was to use only MF system on this car, to see what I can accomplish. Turned out pretty good.

          Thanks!

The carbon fiber hood is actually fake ebay one lol. That's why it doesn't fit too well and plus it was cheap (its just the owner told me since I asked him about it)

Great turnaround on the Z! What reason was given for sanding the front bumper cover in the first place?

Thank you. The owner said that it was painted and had a lot of orange peel and it was sanded and then given to me to buff it out. Since I know the guy, I couldn't say no.

As you can see, the rear bumper was repainted too, because it is different color.
