  • A Fresh Start: 2011 White Montero Sport

Just two weeks since I've gotten my new SUV from the dealership, I've already waxed her with CCW and NXT 2.0 liquid wax. Next I plan to put UPW. Some mobile phone cam pictures:

I plan to buy Ultimate Polish so I can use my fresh-from-the-box G110v2 with a polishing pad. Will post more pictures and reviews in the coming weeks.

Nice reflections on the Montero, Ultraman, very crisp and bright!

^Thanks! I still feel I can bring out more shine after I do an application of Ultimate Polish on my G110v2. Can't wait to try out my new DA.

This morning, I added another layer of Ultimate Paste Wax. I noticed a slightly deeper shine and reflection on all panels. Check out these pictures from the door panels and hood:

Washed and clayed my vehicle in preparation for the polish-seal-wax session. While claying, I noticed hardly any contaminants on the door panels, roof and hood. I felt all panels right after a post-claying rinse to check for any remaining contaminants. The semi-squeaky panels were ready for the DA polisher.

First, I covered trims and washers with detailing tape.

Then, I divided large panels into smaller areas - as prescribed by the experts.

The DA got its first job with a M205 and a Megs 7" Polishing Pad. I sprayed the new foam with QD first to lubricate the surface.

The result after polishing (hood shot) :

Then, with a 7" Megs Finishing Pad I applied the OPT Poli-Seal. Sorry, no pics of this step.

After wiping off the Poli-Seal, I applied Megs Hi-Tech Yellow Wax using another Finishing Pad.

My LSP was UPW applied by hand. Ended after six hours just after sunset today. I will post daylight shots of my vehicle soon.
