  • 2011 Black Chevy Cruze ECO

Today, I had another dirty car to detail. This is a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze ECO that was bought in mid march 2011. Only 6 months old and already 16900 km on the clock. Owner told me that it was washed only 2 or 3 times at the no-touch car wash since then. Obviously, the car had not been cleaned in a long time.
We agreed on a interior/exterior wash, clay, light polish and wax.
The color of this Cruze is named Carbon Black, with is a metalic black.

    Process :
Wash the rims, tires and wheel wells using NXT soap and APC
    Wash with NXT soap
Clay with Ricardo yellow car using Last Touch/wax (1/1) as a lube
    Rewash with Gold Class
Dry with an Absorber and a Water Magnet
Polish with Ultimate Polish on a green LC pad
Wax with Ultimate Liquid Wax on a red LC pad
Endurance Tire Spray on the tires (needed 3 coats to look okay to me)
    ASD on the wells

    Vac/dry brush/vac
Carpet cleaned using Quick Out Carpet Cleaner and APC+
Windows cleaned with NXT Glass Cleaner
Quick Interior Detailer to clean and dress the vinyl.

Before taking the pictures, I gave the car a coat of Ultimate Quick Wax on the paint and rims.

    Before Pictures :

    After :

Yes, those were polished rims !

The carpet was not completely dry when I took the pictures I believe.

Again, a before / after of the Cruze.

The owner dropped the car at 9h this morning and he only needed the car back at 6hPM, so I was in less of a rush than when I detailed the trashed Pontiac G5 last week-end. The owner was very pleased and told me that it was like getting a brand car again !

Talk about night and day - that turned out really well. Good call on the Endurance spray. I'm a big fan of that particular tire dressing.

Amazing turn around even with the extra time you were allotted.

          Thanks.
The Endurance Tire Spray in my new favorite also. It does last a while, even in the rain.
I needed 3 coats on this Cruze to get the tires looking as good as I wanted them. Probably because they never had tires shine on them. On my car, I only needed 1 once in a while.

I was allowed 9 hours, but it took about 6.
I would not mind owning this car at all, once cleaned like that.
