  • Canam Spyder, F250, Venza, Century, G5

Here are some cars I detailed over the past couple of days. No particular order.

First is a 2009 Pontiac G5 sedan with about 45000 km. The owner only requested an exterior wash and wax. Since the car was is such awful condition with a lot of swirls and rids, I decided it was time to finally try the D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream I had laying around. It could not be worst anyhow…
No before pictures as it was raining that night. Got the car at 6PM and the owner was coming to pick the car the next morning on her way to work.
The after were taken at about 6h30AM.

    Process :
Wash tires, rims and wells with NXT soap and APC
    Wash with NXT soap
    Polish/wax using D151 on a 5,5” green LC pad
Ultimate Quick Wax on side and back windows, paint and rims
    ASD on tires and wells
    No interior work

I was impress with the ease of use of D151 and I got pretty damn good results as you can see on the pictures.

A quick interior shot to let you see how bad the exterior could be…

A pretty cool thing the owner made herself, a Kleenex box cover.

Second, a 2009 Toyota Venza AWD with something like 53000 km. The customer came to me for a paint decontamination. He wanted me to take care of all the little orange dots all over the paint. I got the car at 6PM and I needed to have everything done for a customer pickup in early the next morning. Keep in mind I have another full time job. I usually don’t accept detailing work on week days, but had to accept this Venza and the black G5 on the same week… Money is money…

    Process :
Wash rims, tires and wells using NXT soap and APC
    Wash with NXT soap
Paint decontaminated with BodyPro Liquid FallOut Remover
    Rewash with Gold Class soap
Wax with D301 Finishing Wax on a green 5,5” LC pad
    Tires dressed with ASD
Trims dressed with Ultimate Protectant Spray
Ultimate Quick Wax on the next morning to make sure everything wax perfect
    No interior work.

    Before :
Was not too bad, but the doors, fenders and back bumper were very contaminated.

    After:
The pictures were taken a little before 6AM, before customer pickup.

    No more nasty bugs

Now, this is my younger brother’s truck. A 2006 Ford F250 Lariat Amarillo. Fully loaded with sunroof, leather seats. He bought it slightly wrecked this spring and fixed it for himself. Only has 48000 miles on the clock. I don’t believe he ever washed it after painting/polishing at the beginning of May. The paint was still in great condition. This truck is so huge !!!

      Process :
Wash rims, tires and wells with NXT soap and APC
Wash with Ultimate Wash & Wax
      Wax with Ultimate Liquid Wax
      Tires dressed with ASD
      Trims dressed with Ultimate Protectant
      No interior work.

      Before :

      Caked bugs

This is a 2004 Buick Century Custom with 61500 miles. As you can see, people are coming from Connecticut only to have their car detailed by me ! No seriously, this car belongs to my aunt that came up here for the summer holidays.
No before pictures as it was raining when she arrived in the morning.

        Process :
Wash rims, tires and wells with APC
        Wash with NXT soap
Clay with Ricardo yellow clay and Last Touch 1/1 as lube
        Rewash with Gold Class soap
D300 Correction Compound with MF Correction Pad on a few deeper scratches
Ultimate Polish on a white 5,5” LC pad all over
M26 High Tex Yellow Wax (2 coats)
Ultimate Quick Wax on the side and back windows
Tires dressed with Endurance Tire Spray
        Wells dressed with ASD
Vac / dry brush / vac
Carpet and mats shampooed with Quick Out Carpet Cleaner
Windows cleaned with NXT glass cleaner
Vinyl cleaned/dressed with Quick Interior Detailer

All the lower part of the doors were very contaminated.
This is a picture of the clay after only the lower half of a door. All four doors were the same.

There is a scratch on the front on the hood that was too deep to be removed.

Interior after. I don’t know why the carpet still look brownish on the picture because it was completely clean to the eye. Maybe because it was not dry when I took the pictures ?

Re: Canam Spyder, F250, Venza, Century, G5

And last, but not least, a 2008 Canam Spyder GS.
This is my parents toy. They were just back from a week-end vacation trip. They hit a few road construction site and a few rain showers during the trip, hence why the bike is so dirty. Cleaning those Spyder is very time consuming…

          Process :
Wash rims, tires and lower unpainted body with APC
          Wash with Gold Class
Ultimate Quick Wax and all glossy parts
Ultimate Protectant Spray on all textured parts
Tires were not dressed per request.

          Before :

          Bugs again !

          After :
Pictures taken right behind my house. You can see a few water drops from moving the Spyder for the picture session.
