Hey guys, just thought id show off my latest work, and first go with a PC 7424XP. My Process consisted of: Wash with NXT and lambswool mitt, dry with Kent Microfibre drying towel, Clay with quik clay kit, UC on the bonnet, roof and front bumper, and UP on the rest of the car, topped with NXT 2.0, plastics treated with ultimate protectant. I also did the interior, wheels, tyres and undercarriage but thats for another time. It was my first go with ultimate polish and i was very impressed with its ability to remove swirls, add clarity, and make the metallic pop, but i think DC2 or 7 might just be a tiny bit more 'wet looking'. Oh, and i simply love UC and NXT 2.0.
Tell me what you think. More pics available on request :p and any questions welcome!!

Nice work mate! Go the Holdens!

I own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Paul, thats a really nice car and a nice colour too. My parents just bought one and it is an absolute pleasure to drive!! You simply cant beat the combination of an Australian car with American muscle under the hood . Im presuming you have the 6.0 V8??
Heres a couple more photos i got with the hood up:

The car came out looking fantastic!!! To think it's 10 years old is just amazing - you do an outstanding job taking care of this baby, don't you?!
A couple of personal observations, if I may:
The first picture immediately made me think "Pontiac GTO" as in the Holden Monaro that was imported to the US under that name - it's the curve and line in the front fender that looks so familiar. But the next shot threw me for a loop! The grille reminds me of the Lincoln Mark VIII LSC, but that's a US Ford product! And whoa - it's a wagon!! With a big old snorting V8 under the hood. How cool is that????

I sure do:
What model and which color did your parents get? Any pics?
2014 Cadillac ATS4 Performance in White Diamond Tricoat. It's loaded with everything but frickin' lasers!

Thanks so much for the comments Michael. Yea, you could say im 'car crazy'. Here in Australia, we tend to put V8's into everything. But its still quite a rare thing to have a V8 in a wagon, which is why i looove it so much. And it certainly surprises a lot of 'sports cars' at the traffic lights.
Now that my paint is in really good condition i cant wait to try some other polish/wax combos. Im thinking some #7 topped with #26 paste next time, although i do love NXT .

Mmm that is a tasty engine bay!! My folks bought the series 2 version of this car. It comes with the V8 but the DOD technology (which shuts down 4 cylinders when cruising, resulting in a 10kw loss in power , but more efficiency and a fancy touch screen in the interior. Plus the grille area and badging is different (holden spec vs pontiac spec). The colour is a dark grey, nice classy colour, not as nice as your burgundy red but the deal was simply too good to pass up. I will see what i can do for pics.
