Alright. So had the opportunity to detail a 1965 Mercedes. This is what I'm talking about. The car belonged to the same client who I did the Black Volvo for.
Anyway, let's get right on to the pics.

This is what the client was using to wash it before I beckoned him to stop. Actually, his 11 year old daughter was washing it this way. Good old Palmolive and dirty towels.

So, the client originally just wanted a cleaner/wax treatment because he only wanted to spend $100. However, I wanted to impress him and anybody else who saw the car so I went ahead and did a 2 step process to really bring out the gloss. My G110v2 was half-broken at this point. I was able to hold the connection in the back at a certain angle and the machine would function. However, about 90% of the way through the project, it stopped working for good.
The remainder of the car was hit with a W7204 pad by hand with Ultimate Compound. The 4" pads are great for handwork actually. I might do a write-up on them soon to show how I use them by hand.
-Hit the car with Ultimate Compound on a W8207 pad at speed 5
-The paint was single stage so I applied M07 by hand to the entire car using a Hi-Tech Applicator (comes with Gold Class Wax, NXT 2.0, etc.)
-Applied Gold Class Carnauba Plus by hand
-Dressed the tires with Endurance Tire Spray
-Lightly polished all chrome and aluminum with Mag and Aluminum Polish with a terry cloth
The car is a garage queen and the owner said he has probably driven it less than 1000 miles in the 20 years he's owned it. That's why I went with Gold Class as its oils give the paint a deep glow and the protection factor isn't as important as the car is barely driven except to shows.
I didn't do a whole lot with the interior as a lot of it is original and the owner said he really liked the patina and some of the dirt in the leather. He likes it when old cars show their age a bit.
-Cleaned all leather and vinyl (almost everything but the seats which were vinyl) with Meguiars Gold Class Leather and Vinyl Cleaner
-Conditioned all leather with Meguiars Gold Class Leather Conditioner
-Vacuumed the interior
-Wiped down the glass with Stoner's Invisible Glass
