Total time was 6 hours and the client got a pretty good deal at $100 for this job. But, I also told him I would do the same thing on his other car if he found me 2 clients (after they pay me of course). Just trying to get my name out there. Got business cards coming Friday!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for looking!

      Looks really nice.

I know you mentioned some of the stains would not come out of the carpet, you may want to use some hot water along with a brush. Not sure if you tried that already though and just did not mention it.

You may want to invest in a pressure washer too to rinse the floor mats out as that gets them super clean and free of cleaning solution.

Looks really nice and the client definitly got a lot of value.

Were you working in full sun the entire time too?

Great Job, the cleaner wax improved the exterior gloss and helped hide some swirls

Your client definitely got a great deal. The vehicle looks sweet.

Too bad another D/A stopped working.

I will try the hot water next time. I wanted to get more of those stains out but brushing and APC just kept pulling up more and more and more dirt. My terry towels were black after and that stain in the front was still left! I think I will also give Super Degreaser a shot by spritzing the stain and seeing how much more that breaks it up.

I was thinking of investing in a pressure washer this summer. Is it worth the $90-100? Does it make the mats that much cleaner?

Yes. I work in the full sun all the time. That black interior was hot!

Yeah I am a little miffed at the DA. But, Meguiars is taking care of me. Love their customer service!

Re: Black Volvo-Full Int. and 1-Step Ext.

                    Shawn,

Definitly give the hot water a try next time, I think it will help.

You may want to pick up some Purple Power locally since I feel its similar to Super Degreaser, just dilute 50/50 for interiors and spray the towel and lightly mist the surface.

Also, a nice small shop/vac helps a lot too.

I have a little 2.5 gallon Craftsman wet/dry vac for mobile use I bought at Sears. It was only $30 and it comes with a hose, several attachments plus a filter. Works well for lightly soiled interiors. I also have other shop vacs that aremore powerful for when not mobile.

Yes, a pressure washer is something I would get eventually. Once you use it you will never want to go back, I swear.

I have a TroyBilt 2600 psi (gas unit) that I bought about three years ago, I believe I paid somewhere around $250-$300. There is a Craftsman unit I saw recently that was about $435 and had over 3000 psi but I would be afraid to use it for detailing but rather driveway/concrete use. For surfaces on a vehicle I would not use anything that exceeds 2600 psi.

The electric ones are okay but are not all that powerful.

I like the gas ones too as it irritates the neighbors since I have gotten "calls" before.

Re: Black Volvo-Full Int. and 1-Step Ext.

                      Thanks for the advice Nick.

I will see what's available as far as pressure washers go. Maybe I'll invest in one next summer.

Purple Power is some pretty strong stuff which is why I don't use it on interiors anymore. I got some really bad residue last time I used it at 1:1 for interiors.

For a shop/vac, I use a Ridid 4 gallon, 5 hp one. It works really nicely. I picked it up about 3 weeks ago and it is the best investment I have made besides a DA. It's also really light and compact so it's easy to move around and it's on wheels. It was only $95.
