This truck was completed on Fathers day morning and was given a full exterior/interior treatment the day prior.

The client wanted to do something nice for her Dad and something a little different.

I had only one day to complete the truck and these details usually take at least a day and a half so I am a little short of pictures.

The truck was in bad shape overall and needed a lot of work to make it look refreshed. The body moldings were caked in with grime & road tar. The wheels & door jambs were also caked up with grease and oil.

The truck is a diesel, has 270k miles and is a work truck.

    Some before shots:

The entire truck was pressure washed for a long time.
Wheels & tires were soaked with Wheel Brightener & FS PP.
Wells & bed were soaked with Purple Power 1:1.
Door/tailgate shuts were soaked with 3D Citrus bug/tar remover.
The truck was foamed & washed with Super Soap.

    During the wash:

The interior wasnt in too good of shape, the vinyl was washed out from the sun, cigarrete smoke & coffee spills. Dressing the vinyl never helps but a good cleaning usually make it look a lot better.

    Vac/dry brush/vac.
All carpet/upholstery shampooed with 3D Carpet Shampoo.
All vinyl cleaned with Purple Power & hot water mix.
All vinyl dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.
Jambs spot cleaned with Tarminator & washed with ONR.
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.

    After:

The exterior of the truck was bone dry and had a lot of contamination.

Clayed with Meguiars blue clay & ONR.
    Polished/waxed with #66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax) via PCXP.
Wheels & chrome polished with Mothers chrome polish & steel wool.
    Tires/wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing 1:1.
    Painted undersides degreased with Tarminator.
Trim dressed with All Season Dressing.

Great job Nick!! You made the truck look like new again. I always enjoy reading through your posts!!!

What pad did you use with the #66 cleaner wax? Is this product comparable to the A12 consumer cleaner wax? How long did it take you to polish out the paint with #66? That truck is HUGE!

Very nice job Nick ! A HUGE improvement, maybe it should quality for an extreme makeover. Now the truck doesn't look it's millage at all.
270000 miles is a lot, but if you translate it in km, it's more than 430000 !

It doesn't look like it has 50,000 miles, much less nearly 270,000!! Very nice job.

              Thanks Marc.

I used an LC 5.5" CCS pad with the M66.

The M66 has much more cut than A12 Cleaner Wax.

Took me about an hour to polish the paint with M66.

                    Re: 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Very nice as always and it is a HUGE truck indeed. I just finished doing a truck myself and I enjoyed it more than doing SUV's or cars so I see why you like doing trucks lol

Question for you, how would you compare M66 to D151. Both are one step product, not sure about correction power though and not sure if you have used D151, but if you did, would like to hear your opinion on it.
I've never used M66, but been using D151 for a year now.

                    Thanks.

                          Nicely done once again, Nick!

I used Rust Reformer on my exposed frame rails and hitch followed by Wurth black chip guard. I was surprised by the quick drying and decent longevity of the Rust Reformer so I keep a couple of cans around for details where an exposed booger detracts from a detail. YMMV.

Truck looks as good as new! Great job. Hard to believe that truck has 270k miles.
