Great work! I am still new to learning about different paint issues. You have a pic (50/50 Shot on the Driver Side Rear Quarter Panel) and it looks like the car has orange peel. Is that correct? The reason I ask is that my own car has similar reflections(its not like a mirror, but kind of wavy) and I am trying to determine if my car has orange peel too.

Thank you Bill! Yes that's orange peel. Most factory paint jobs have pretty bad orange peel.

A detail like this should be priced between $500 - $700 and I am hoping Marco was able to command that rate as his work on this vehicle is worth every penny.

You could go out and sell that car for an additonal two to three grand more and I gurantee you 98% of the world population would not know its prior state.

Thanks a lot Greg!!! Yes the color looks nice but if it was me, I'd want it with a slightly darker shade. It was really hard to capture reflection/wetness shots.

Looks like a fair bit of neglect on this 10 year old Mustang served to dull down the paint and kill the brightness of the yellow. Swirls, scratches, embedded dirt in the pores; all these things conspire to rob a bright color of it's luster, and you've restored it beautifully to it's original glory. And that engine bay looks fantastic!!!

Swirls, scratches, embedded dirt in the pores; all these things conspire to rob a bright color of it's luster, and you've restored it beautifully to it's original glory. Yeah the owner didn't mention that the car has been sitting in the hot AZ sun for more than a year... He wanted a 1 step polish and I thought that the paint was in good enough condition for that. I was shocked to say the least when the car pulled in... The oxidation was sooooo bad... The 1 step polish I was using was not doing anything at all.

One question, was the paint on the wiper arms starting to peel or just fade? On my 1998 Civic they chipped and peeled after about 10 years and I was thinking about waxing them on my new car to see if that will help prevent damage in the future. Any thoughts based on the Stang?

Unfortunately, the paint was already peeling on the wiper arms.. I didn't even bother trying to apply ultimate protectant on it because it will still have a difference in color because of the paint being gone in some sections.

I would just wash and dry them like normal at least. I think most people, if not everyone just don't wash or dry them at all. They are neglected because they think it's not worth putting the extra effort. If you have time to wax it then I would do that too.
