  • Detailed 05 Acura MDX (40 pictures)

This is 3rd year in a row I am detailing this car. Customer wanted 1-step detail, with a good cleaning of interior.

The exterior was in pretty good condition, and the water was still bedding as the owner applies Meguairs quick wax once every 1-2 months. The car didn't have big scratches, but it did had spiderweb ones, from washing.

First set of pictures were taken with my phone, as I didn't have my camera at the moment.

Paint correction was done with D151 and Megs yellow pad on DA
Interior was done with APC+, Leather conditioner and Plastic/Vinyl Quick detailer
Exterior plastic with 1:1 Water dressing
    Tires with Megs tire shine
Glass was wiped with towel and Megs glass cleaner

I'll start with interior. The owner has 3 kids (took off 3 carseats before I picked up the car). Will all the food I found, I could probably last a day eating it haha lol.

    AFTERS

Took me around 4 hours to clean the interior.

Then I washed the car, engine bay and prepped it for detailing.

Here's what yellow pad looked like after I finished with JUST the roof

And here's how the terry towel looked like after I wiped off remaining D151

The car sits outside all the time 24/7. So roof gets all the beating.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed some scratches. Some before and after shots.

And finally all detailed and ready!

    Thank you for looking!

Wow, that was some seriously nasty stuff on the paint, you did remember to wash first and use soap, right???

The after pics were really great and the black just popped, especially those reflection pictures. Keep up the good work!

      Nicely done.

I got tired just thinking about the 4 hours on the interior......

So is that single stage paint?? I'm surprised that towel looked that dirty.

        Good save overall.

          Looks really nice.

Too bad the rear seats do not fold up on the newer models as I service an 08 & an 11 and its a pain to lay in the third row area and vacumm under the second row for half an hour.

No, its just the car is parked under the tree and roof was neglected.

            Thank you.

Yeah, I feel ya, I did 08 too and it was a bit harder with those seats. The later model is a lot easier, as the seat can move front and back too (like the front ones) plus fold.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
