This weekend I worked on a black 2010 Jeep Rubicon. This is the first Jeep I work on and one of my concerns was all the hinges and hex bolts that I had to work around. Luckily I was able to remove a couple of things to make polishing a bit easier. This Jeep was detailed a couple of times before. I found quite a bit of compound residue within the hex bolts door seals and a few other places. So on day 1 I spent giving the Jeep a thorough wash to remove that residue along with any protection the paint had. The interior was in great condition and only required a wipedown and some vacuuming. All in all I spent about 10-11 hours.
Exterior:
Wash
Claying was minimal
D300 / D301
Topped with Gold Class paste
#40 on Tires
HD on wheel wells
Black Wow on plastic trim
#39 to clean door seals followed by #40
xpress wax on door jambs and wheels
Interior
Brushed out all crevices
wiped down with Quick Interior Detailer
vacuum
Glass cleaned with Megs glass cleaner
