  • 2007 Black Honda Civic - Waterless Wash

I did this car for my neighbor today because he is fixing my parents computer. He was reluctant to allow me to do it for free but I twisted his arm to allow me to do something since he wouldn't take money.

It was just a basic waterless wash.

    1) Wash with CroftgateUSA Aquanil-X and plenty of microfibers.
    2) Windows cleaned with CroftgateUSA Aquanil-X.
    3) Tires and wheels cleaned with CroftgateUSA Tire Shine. Yes, wheels cleaned with Tire Shine. And of course, plenty of microfibers.

    Looking good Shawn!

I know you swear by the waterless wash but do you feel confident that it doesn't scratch the paint at all? I've never really liked doing rinseless washing because I've been so afraid that it will severely scratch the paint. Waterless washes are worse!! LOL!

The only difference between the fourth photo and the fifth photo is washing??

You are a magician. Had you worked on this car before?

      Nice transformation.

          Great turn around, Shawn.

And not even one drop of water.

I wished I was your neighbor.

            Thanks man!

I am confident that it does not scratch the paint. Did you see my other detail I posted yesterday? That was my car that has only been washed using waterless wash products and had never been polished in it's life. Brought it back from the dealership and it didn't receive a polish until yesterday. Yet, it is not swirled out by any means and Ultimate Polish removed almost all of the light haze.

I'll take some sun shots today to show you the finish is not swirled out. It's not absolutely perfect as it is a daily driver but it's pretty darn good.

            Thanks David!

All I did was give it a wash.

I had never worked on this car before and neither had the owner. It has never been waxed and washed maybe a few times a year. The finish is rough as 80 grit sandpaper!

I'm not a magician but I use products that are certainly like magic!

            Thanks!

Why doesn't waterless washing make sense to you?

I did this entire car including wheels, tires and windows in 20 minutes. Plus, the car now has a coat of wax on it from the waterless wash, CroftgateUSA Aquanil-X.

Thanks Greg! Yup, not a drop of water!

Waterless washing is the wave of the present. Ride it now so you're ready for the future!

Did you ever give your samples a try? How did you like them?

It just doesnt seem like it gets rid of the dirt, more like wiping it around. But then again ive never used it. It also seems like its more for a garage kept vehicle. id probably never do it on my pickup though. I guess its something id have to see to believe in person. i dont see how spraying something on top of the dirt on the car and wiping it around doesnt mess paint up. Also washing wheels and tires with a tire shine product (usually greasy). Sorry for being critical. TO me a waterless wash is more for making a vehicle look clean.

Maybe ill try it one day to put my fears to rest

It does get rid of dirt. You really do have to use it to believe it. The Tire Shine is not greasy at all like some solvent based dressings because it's not solvent based. This is why it's cleaning abilities clean both tires and wheels.

                No need to be sorry.
