  • 2007 Chevrolet HHR

This is my personal car that is my daily driver. I don't have a garage so the detail was done outside, over 24 hour period of time. I started yesterday at 12 noon, called it a night at about 9pm (used haolgen lighting at night). STarted this morning a 7am, now I am done.

    Exterior Process:
    Two bucket wash w/grit guard
Foamed with gold class and super soap mix.

    Clayed with Last touch

    PC 7424xp
    M105 w/LC orange pad
    M205 w/LC orange pad
    M05 w/ LC white pad
    M26 w/LC blue pad

wells dressed with HD @ I forgot ratio
Tires got Hot shine, I have tried everything else and always go back to hot shine.

    Trim got GC trim detailer
Windows got Glass cleaner @ 10:1

    Interior process:

Carpet was dry vac'd and cleaned with LGM
    Interior plastics with M40

Since it was late at night when I did most of the work I did not take many pictures. This detail isn't anything to write home about, but being a daily in a type of place where I live, it is good enough. The orange pad wasn't 100% effective but I would estimate about a 95% defect removal. This will most likely be the last time this car see's this type of treatment, it just isnt satisfying anymore. It is a 10 footer car because of all the rock chip and dents. I just focus on customer car's. Until this car gets a respray, it will likely just be a regular wash and quik wax kind of detail now.

This was my first use with M05 by the way, and I LOVED it. Brought out a very nice gloss. My M26 however, was sketchy. I have never had this problem before with it, but it was balling up and spinning off the pad. No big deal though.

Nice correction, the black looks the way it's supposed to now! Well done.

Good work. It's kind of sad when a faithful old vehicle gets to the point where the cost-benefit ratio of spending many hours removing defects loses its charm.

My dad has an '06 Dark Silver Metallic 2LT.

I haven't gotten around to polishing it just yet, but that must be some pretty hard clear.

                  Good job!

This is my Wife's 2007 HHR, one year offered color, Purple!

I have kept the swirls down but I will have to do it at some point. Maybe a session of Meg 205, White CCS Pad on my Rotary. Should get most of the correction needed.

I need to focus on the interior more, these GM seats are terrible and they are a light grey, even WORSE!
