  • First Post: Dirtiest car I've seen in a long time. Land Rover LR3

    Hey everyone,

I'm a long time detailer and follower of the forum, but never been too active myself. I just like learning so much from the experts here. This is the first car I've posted to the forum, as you can see from the pictures this Land Rover LR3 was a disaster. The owner uses the vehicle for work purposes and hauls a lot of stuff around (as you can see...)

    Before
    Exterior:

    Interior:

    After
    Exterior:

    Interior:

The process I used to help revive this LR3 a little was:
-Wash with Meg Gold Class and clean Wheels with Wheel Brightener and APC
    -Vac/Hot water extraction with APC+
-Mild Clay (Paint was very much neglected)
    -M105 compounding
    -#80 Speed Glaze (2 passes)
    -#26 HT Yellow wax

The customer was so happy to see the car restored to a much more drivable condition and I secured a monthly maintenance plan with the owner to be sure it doesn't get like that again.

Let me know what you think, I'll be posting more of my work as the season picks up and hopefully this constant rain stops. I really love seeing everyones work. Thank you!

Great save. That car looked so out of shape: in and out.

Nice paint restoration product selection: M105, M80, M26. It delivered on this Land Rover. With monthly maintenace out of control stage won't happen again for sure.

What was the total time spent on this project?

Great turnaround on a terrible interior! How long did it take to clean up that mess?

Thanks everyone! Yeah, you don't see too many people using M80 anymore, I think its a great product. It seems like M105 has sort of taken over.

Total time spent on the interior was about 6 hours... Exterior added about 4 1/2 - 5 more. It was a long day - 8 AM pickup, about 7:30PM delivery.

Jon, Big Respect for completion of this project in one day.

M80 is still a very popular product, just like another time-resistant chemical M07.
