  • My 2nd Vette.

Not really a show off! This is one of those details that anything you do doesn't make the car look any better. Enjoy, well I guess just browse. I can add before or after to each pic if you can't tell.

I can tell the difference between the before and after shots. There is a definite improvement in appearance. Great job!

Those exhaust tips look like cast aluminum that I had on my '98 (non Ram Air). Most '97'-03 Grand Prix GTPs had them too. They can be polished but it is a lot of work. Lokks great when done though. I don't know if you can still see the pictures on the www.ClubGP.com forums or not.

I don't think I've ever seen a purple 'Vette before.

Thanks for reply. The vette sure was purple. It was in bad shape. I know I landed some of their other vehicles. I think I got maintenance plans worked out too. I guess if their happy.

Here's a peek inside. I don't think you can tell but there is almost standing water in the floor board. Heavy rain last night plus a leak somewhere. Sorry about the color difference. I had the wrong white balance set.

Carpet was still soaked. Did the best I could with the Aztec extractor.

The leather seats were in bad shape.

Wow, that interior difference is huge dispite the color settings. Those seats look like they have seen better days though, not much you can do about that. The car looks great and your work is excellent as usual.

                Looks good scrub!

I"m sure the owner was impressed with both the inside as well as the outside.

My old Sony has a manual white balance and when I use it at our clinics it's a pain because I have to adjust every time I go inside and then go outside. I can't tell you how many times I've asked someone at the clinic with a white t-shirt to turn around and hold still for a few seconds!

Thanks Mike. My old sony has an auto white balance but I had set it for inside lights for my daughters birthday party. She's 2.

Mike, why would you use the Sony when you have a Rebel D? Have you seen the 20D? It's a great camera with 8 MP. And the new Digital Rebel will have 8 MP and will cost less than the current Rebel D. Lots of toys to tempt us!

I can see the improvement inside and out. What did you use on the exterior door handles?

How could you see a difference in these pics?

Looks good. The C4's leak terribly. Those of us Vette owners, who are smart, leave a beach towel laid out on both sides by the door when it rains and the car is parked. Looks like you got it cleaned up really well.

how is the aztec extractor holding up...i want an extractor but every brand i think of i hear bad things about.....or its to expensive for an enthusiast...that is except for aztek...my only concern is that it looks to much and the specs are near identical to the duramaid which i here the most complaints about....have you had any problems....oh yeah and how bout some 5.7L ohv shots

See the links below to other pictures of before and afters using the Aztec. The machine is great. Well worth the investment. With each interior job I'm gaining more confidence and the results are getting better. Not to say the results couldn't be obtained using the shop vac or other technique. There's just something about having the proper tool for the job. In addition, just like on paint surface care, its the sum of all steps that helps achieve outstanding results.

My only complaints of the machine are:
                              1. No heat and vac at the same time. This is nice though, it helps keep the amps down for mobile apps.

                              2. The machine requires a full solution tank (clean water) to allow the heater to work. There is a float type level switch that controls that.

                              3. The noise. It's a bit noisy.

Otherwise a great machine. Most of the local shops don't have a machine like this. And the Aztec destroys the Lll green machine. The driver side carpet in the toyota (see link below) was dry before I finished the passenger side. That's how the hot water and alot of lift helps.

I have another set of interior pics from this past Saturday I have yet to upload. I will work on that later.
