  • 2011 Ford F-350 XLT

    2011 Ford F-350 XLT, 2k miles.

Client purchased two of these in this cab & configuration.

Really enjoy detailing these trucks too, more than I do sport/luxury cars.

It was in good shape overall but needed some attention as it is a work truck.

    Before:

Foamed & washed with Super Soap & NXT Generation Car Wash.
Wheels, tires, & wells, degreased with All Purpose Cleaner Plus.
Bugs & tar treated with 3D Bug Remover.

The floor was cleaned with a light solution of NXT Generation Car Wash.
All interior surfaces were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner.
All interior surfaces were dressed with Quik Interior Detailer
Glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
Door jambs were cleaned with ONR.

I then turned my attention back to the exterior.

All painted & chrome surfaces were clayed with Blue clay & ONR.
Lower panels were spot treated with Tarminator.
Paint & chrome surfaces were waxed/sealed with D301 Finishing Wax.
    Tires & wells dressed with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner.
Wheels sealed with Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax.
Tailgate jambs, toolbox, & bedliner wiped clean with ONR.
Fuel pump hose dressed with All Season Dressing

    Afters:

Looks like it just rolled right off the assembly line. Very clean.

You really do a great job Nick! I always love going through your show off threads.

Does this guy have a landscaping or construction business? He has a lot of work trucks...

When you come across seats with that type of material and they need to be cleaned (assuming they are not very heavily soiled, just lightly-moderately dirty), how do you go about cleaning them without a steamer or extractor?

            Thank you very much Marco!

I enjoy your detailing writeups as well.

He has a lot of trucks and just as many sports cars as well.

He owns a lot of junkyards across the nation, he is Illinois' largest auto recycler.

How did I do on the truck?

The process is easy but the drying time depends on how wet you get them.

            For light dirt.

            Vac
            Dry brush
            Vac
Slam with fist to remove the clouds of dust.
Spray APC, or use a brush dunked in Carpet & upholstery shampoo ( I like 3D's carpet shampoo)
Agitate with brush or terry cloth.
Rinse with wet terry cloth until dirt no longer is pulled and all cleaning solution is removed.
Towel dry & air dry ( In sun if possible)

              Very nice work, indeed, Nick.

As everybody else pointed out - great interior detailing. The truck looks like new again.

I vacummed all the soap slurry up and followed up with damp terry cloth to remove all soap residue.

Good call. Alot of people think they can hose the floors out, but by doing it that way they cause water to roll under the vinyl flooring and it gets trapped there. Water in cab = bad smells and potential to cause floor rust.

Heyy Tuck91 I always enjoy reading all your posts and I was wondering you always foam the vehicles. How do you make it foam? Do you use some sort of cannon?
