  • 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty XLT

    Completed this truck today (2/25/11)

Client bought four of them in different cab lengths and variations to replace the ones that were 6-7 years old.

This one had less than 10 miles, brand new.

This detail was completed at my client's other shop so you will see vehicles I have done in the past for him.

    No traditional washing inside either.

This is not much of a before shot but its something.

I washed the truck with ONR and several Lowes grout sponges as well as a Meguiars wash mitt.

Wheels, tires, truck bed & wells were spotless so I did an ONR wash on them as well.

    Dried with several Water Magnet/

The surface was clean so no claying was needed.

I did 3x applications of Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax to paint & wheels.
    Tires/wells dressed with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner.
Glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
All jambs were wiped clean with ONR.
Interior was so clean that all I had to do was wipe up some footprints.

Great job Nick. Could they fit any more chrome on the front of those trucks!!

One quick question: This time of year, let's say cold but dry, what's the life expectancy of #40 on the tires?

          Thank you David.

If the tires do not come in contact with any snow, slush, water, etc then I would say 4-5 days.

But on a work truck it will last a day or two.

            Nice work yet again Nick!

But, I don't know about a yellow truck. I always liked them red or black or white.

They look nice once you slap on the company decal.

I like the yellow as its fun to detail and it would look brilliant in the sun.

I had to do it where it was since it would have taken an hour to dig it out.

Great job Nick, Do you ever get to put more of a traditional wax or sealant on his work trucks, or are spray waxes always a best choice for fleet trucks due to time and what customer wants

Yes, I have applied regular sealants to work trucks in the past and still do.

Its brand new and the Sythetic X- Press should last a month and I will probably have another chance to wash or detail it again in the next month or so.

I was their servicing their F-650 for several hours and was able to knock this F-350 out just after 5:00 pm.
