Thank you all for the kind words! Feels great having the car look respectable again! Trying to get the paint wiped down with some M135 before work today, if the paint cools off enough, lol!

Thanks man! It's not blown...yet. It's in the Top-3 mods to do when I graduate from school and get a better paying job. That, a Baer GT brake kit and some 4.10 gears.

      Nice work Tyler!

Now that's how black should look!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

So, here's the completed fix from my landlords wiping dust, dirt and mud (grit) into the paint with a sheet. You can see the dust on the roof in the pics. There was that plus the dirt and mud they got on it.

Wash- ONR with Meguiar's MF mitt on the damaged areas: hood, front 1/4 panels and front fascia.
Clean- Ultimate Compound, 8006 pad, speed 5 on DA
Polish- Ultimate Polish, 9006 pad, speed 4 on DA
Wax- NXT 2.0, Hi Tech Foam Applicator by hand

Most of the damage came out, but there were some deeper swirls though that can still be seen if you are looking for them. 3+ hours from start to end. It was dark out when I finished, but I got a picture with the flash to show what's left for the most part...not a whole lot. Now I need to do the rest of the car properly; not just with D151, lol.

this sounds like something my relatives would do.... are your landlords some middle aged chinese couple?

That is a good lookin car you have there.

Why do you like the matte finish tire dressing over something like Opti-Bond or White Pearl?

I tend to use a matte product when it's dusty out as it attracts much less, if any, dust. I can dust and QD the paint and wheels, but it's not as easy to clean the tires in the same situation when it's got a stickier (usually the glossy dressings are as they are solvent based), shiny tire dressing on it. When I use the matte dressing, which would be the water-based Black Magic Titanium Matte dressing the majority of the time on this car, I can simply wipe the tire with a wet towel. It will clean the tire very well and I can apply the dressing right back onto it and get an even look. I will also use Water Based Dressing, Hyper Dressing and sometimes M38, but the look is still generally about the same.

IIRC, this is M38 on the tires. A bit darker and shinier, but still easy to maintain...
