  • "SAP"rageous Honda Accord like no other.....

Lately here in SoCal we have been experiencing such rare weather, from hot to cold, rains to winds. And more than anything the trees are reacting as well, dropping their sap as the weather warms.

This job that I took on as you will see was like no other tree sap removal that I had ever done. This client was turned away by over 4 different car wash and detail centers. So when I received the call, I proceeded to book the job thinking , this will be a piece of cake....

But to my surprise, this was what I was about to face....sap as thick as molasses.

    Here are some before shots

    Removal, decontamination and correction begins

Found the magic trick to removing this sticky stuff.

    Sap removed and claying begins

After the claying and a rinseless wash with Poly's she doesn't even look the same...

Remember the lights before, covered in sap....like new again.

Final awesome results on this Honda Accord after a hand application of Meguiar's M21

Wow, that was a mess. I bet the owner was thrilled. I mean, after being turned away from car washes and detail centers the owner propbably thought there was no hope.

Oh man, I had to do a double take of what I was seeing, at first I was like OMG DID THE PAINT GO BAD OR SOMETHING?!? then realized it was sap. That's the most amount of sap I've seen on a car, especially one that hasn't been sitting for months and months.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Thank you very much J.A. believe it or not "IPA" isopropyl alcohol purchased at Big Lots for .99 cents for 12 oz.

Yup Hemin8r she was a wreck, after all the shops turned her away she did think it was ruined. She even questioned me over and over on my ability to correct the vehicle....I put her at ease and handled it, she was so happy!

Same here when I first saw this, I was like OMG......I thought the paint would end up like a bug strip all tacky and stuff. The customer told me this was just a couple of days, must of been freshly pruned trees IMO...
