  • Sierra Z71, F-250 FX4, SL 500

    2010 GMC Sierra, 19k miles.

Client wanted a basic exterior/interior cleanup.

    It was a little dirty.

It was very cold out so not too many in process pics.

I washed the wheels, tires, and wells with All Purpose Cleaner and foamed them with Deep Crystal Car Wash, agitated with various brushes then rinsed.

I foamed the exterior with 3oz of Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner and 3oz of NXT Generation Car Wash. I washed the truck with a couple of Meguiars wash mitts and a bug sponge where needed.

I foamed the bed down as well and scrubbed it down to get it clean.

The interior was given a dry brush and vac, then cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, terry cloths and various brushes, then dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.

All vents and crevices were brushed out.

All glass cleaned inside and out with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1 and terry cloths.

The door jambs were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner then wiped down with Last Touch Spray Detailer at 1:1.

I applied some Ultimate Quik Wax to all the paint and chrome.

Tires and wells were dressed with Hyper-Dressing at 1:1.

I took this shot before finishing the pedals.

    2004 Mercedes Benz SL 500, 1900 miles.

No before shots, it was fairly clean.

I foamed it down with 5oz of Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner and washed with a couple Meguiars wash mitts. The wheels, tires, and wells were scrubbed down really quickly afterwards with leftover solution and some brushes.

Rinsed, then dried with Water Magnets.

I dried all the engine, door, and trunk jambs.

Did a quick wipedown and vac on the interior.

I then finally applied some #26 - Hi-Tech Yellow Wax to the paint.

The wheels were sealed with #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer.

All glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.

    2008 Ford F-250, 39k miles.

    Same process as the Sierra.

Sorry for a couple of blurry photos, it was a busy day.

Great job as always Nick. Three cars in one day is a busy day.

Is that your garage? If so, it's really nice. If not, it's still really nice.

Not my garage. This was a mobile job.

The only downside of it being so nice is that you cannot really wash a vehicle in it.

Its cold as heck at 5:30am when washing a vehicle outside.

Yup, I know what you mean. I washed my dad's Pilot the other day when it was 42 degrees. My hands went numb by the time I was drying.

Great job Nick!!! You have an amazing client base!

That SL500 is just clean and pretty much brand new. That's the perfect used car to buy because the value already dropped like a rock because of its age.

I have detailed it a few times before.

I have never done any correction work to it, just applications of M20 and M66 a couple times a year.

It certainly is a nice vehicle and is in the shape it is in because of having less than 2k miles.

These pics were taken in September of 09 I believe.

That SL seriously only has 1900 miles on it? And it's a 2004?

I wouldn't think there would be much point to owning that car if I were only going to drive it ~300 miles a year....

Look at how many garage doors there are on that garage. I'm assuming his cars don't get much driving because he has so many.

                Good Job Nick!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                Remove swirls my friends.

                      Not sure I agree.

Its nice to have something with low miles on it.
