  • MGF Before & After

    Hi Guys

A few before and after shots for you. Apologies for the quality the light was very poor today. The car is 4 years old MGF in Tahiti Blue and has always been kept outside.

    GC Shampoo/Soap (twice )
    Quick Clay (All over)
    Scratch X (All over)
    Show Car Glaze
    NXT
    Endurance Tyre Shine
    Stoner Invisible Glass

(All applied and removed by hand - and dont i know it
    )

Well worth while though i think.

Hood/Bonnet after washing and claying - look at the awful swirl marks!

Hood/Bonnet after Scratch X, #7 and NXT. Not perfect but a great improvement

    Front wing before - nasty

Front wing after - Scratch x, #7 and NXT

    Comparison shot!

And the finished car.....again apologies for the lighting.

Great job! That's a lot of work to do by hand! I would not even attempt that without a PC.

The MGF is a small two-seater sports car which was styled by Rover's in-house design team, and boasts a mid-engined rear-drive layout. It is a 100% British design

              Hope this helps m8

MG Cars use to be a Big British Sports car maker in the 50/60/70's etc . It stands for Morris Garages.
They use to Export alot to the States years ago, so you maybe familiar with the MGB Midget or Roadster
North America's oldest and largest club for all MGBs, MGB-GTs and Midgets at www.mgclub.org. A nonprofit organization which was founded in 1975 and offers color magazines, emagazines, technical advice, member recommendations on service, body and parts sources, registration of your MG, a tradition of service and FREE member classified ads that appear in the club magazines - the Octagon and eOctagon, on the AMGBA website, on the club message board and on Facebook and Twitter and much more!

Rover own them and back in 1996 the brought the MG brand back to life with the MGF!!
Here's the modern day MG Rover web site www.mg-rover.com
A search for MG cars on any search engine will bring lots up about the company's history etc

Hope that gives you all some idea

Nice work on good looking blue car. If I recall correctly the MG F is mid engined and fun to drive from what I have read.

The most popular MG model in the US was (still is) the MGB convertible. Between the convertible and the MGB-GT coupe they made over half a million of them from 1962 to 1980 with a large percentage (most?) coming "over the pond" to America. And let's not forget other models like the A and T series, all sought after by enthusiasts and collectors.

Spincykle, living in San Diego you're in a hotbed of LBCs (little British cars) in the US. There's a very active MG club right in your backyard. With the sunny weather on the way they should be coming out to play soon.
