  • Detailed 04 BMW 545i

    2004 BMW 545i with 80k on it.

Client wanted 2 step paint correction and full interior clean-up

    Process:
M95 on Megs yellow pad and some places purple pad with rotary
M205 on yellow pad with DA
NXT 2.0 wax on black pad (DA)
    HD 4:1 on engine
    APC+ on seats and doors
    Interior detailer on dashboard
    Leather seats with leather lotion
    NXT Glass cleaner on windows
Exhaust tips with 0000 Wool and Mothers polish

The car was really dirty, so I washed it and then took some pictures. (Not a lot because didn't have time)

    BEFORE

    DURING

This is basically how the whole car was (clear coat was extremely hard for some reason)

First off he needs to get the rear lowered to match the front. Second someone needs to smack this guy for using garbage mats in the car and letting it get so dirty.

Good job on the the cleanup. Car looks great. Although I dont think I would have used APC on the leather.

Well, it looks uneven because of my driveway. About floormats yeah don't like em either.

I used 10:1 APC on seats, lightly sprayed and just wiped off, didn't even let it sit, because the seats were really dirty especially drivers one. What would you recommend using instead of APC? Of course after that I used leather lotion to moisturize and protect.

          And thank you.

It looked like it was just lowered in the front.

I would have used Meguiars 2 step Aloe leather cleaner and conditioner. If APC is used to generally clean under the hood, in my opinion it is way to aggressive to clean an interior. Let alone leather.

              Re: Detailed 04 BMW 545i

I tried Meg's Aloe leather cleaner and conditioner, doesn't work that well (I had to clean beige leather seats one that were very dirty)

That's why I choose APC, but I am looking for alternatives or other options on how to clean leather really good.

Well honestly I dont know what to recommend other than the combo I mentioned. I probably would have left it at that for fear of damaging the leather.

You can safely clean an interior with either APC Plus or APC at either 4:1 or 10:1.

Also, APC is not generally used to clean engine bays, it just can be.

I clean soiled and dirty leather with APC at either 10:1 or 4:1 with terry cloths and small soft bristled brushes. You would be suprised the amount of grime you can pull from leather that "looks clean".

Thank you Nick for backing up

I got the idea of using APC on leather from you lol and it works very well indeed.
