    Dust and sap

The white stuff on the rocker is wax. There was wax all over the panels.

    Loads of Brake Dust

    Getting prepped for polish

    Wheel after

    Products used:
Body Solvent (there were a bunch of bugs on the front)
    Shampoo Plus
Smooth Surface Clay (lots and lots of sap on this car)
Last Touch 1:1 (clay lube, had to use 1.5 bottles because of all the sap)
Super Degreaser 4:1 (wheels, wheel wells, tires, used to remove wax on black trim pieces)
    Hyper Dressing (black trim, tires)
    M205 (paint correction)
    W8207 polishing pads
    M26 Carnauba Wax
    w9207 finishing pad

    Time: 9 hrs
I didn't have time to remove all the swirls I just reduced them by about 60%. There was too much cleaning to do on this car (sap, sap and more sap). The wheels and Brembo brakes took a long time, they had never been cleaned before.

I got to drive the car, to drop it off at the clients house. This is my favorite current production vehicle in my favorite color, so it was fun day.

As far as a car goes, I absolutely love it. I'm a truck guy, I like my room and I like to see what's going on around me. At 6'3", I have absolutely no issue with the interior space on this vehicle. The only thing I don't like about this car, is its limited rear visibility, but honestly this car is made for going forward and not looking back. It has insane power. My Camaro has the same issue. You just have to give it gas, then do your lane change.

It's huge for a sports car. You have to class this car as a muscle car due to it's size. It's a beast. I was just barely able to reach to the center of the roof while washing and claying it. An average sized person could not wash this car by hand, without a stool.

        The exhaust note is awesome.

I absolutely love those Challengers! I want one in the worst way.

Great job! I really like the way M26 looks on it.

You are right, you can remove MOST of the defects from the paint, for the most part. With my g110v2, yellow pad and UC, I was able to remove about 80-90% of my wife's Chrysler PT Cruiser defects. I did take my time on polishing the paint, but some defects are just too deep to removed (in a given time).

Thanks Nick. Great car for a muscle car. Too big for a sports car.

It was fun, both detailing it and driving it.

M26 was definitely the way to go on this car. I wanted to highlight the orange. It's mainly kept in the garage and used as a weekend car, so there was no need for a synthetic sealant. If I had more time I would have liked to have used M07 beforehand. Honestly I could have used another day with the car. The owner was thrilled, but I know I could do so much more, given the time.

Thanks J.A. sadly it only has less than 2,000 miles on it. I really need to teach the owner some maintenance basics.

As noted above, the car only has 2,000 miles on it, so unless the owner takes on a new maintenance routine, there was no benefit in removing all of the swirls. I just did a quick pass with M205 to improve the overall look.

Believe it or not this is a mid 40's woman's car. Pretty cool :-) She loves the power. I'm glad I could make it look like it did when she first bought it. I could see in her eyes that she fell in love with it all over again. It made me feel good to make her so happy.

Being that I'm still a Mopar guy I love this car. You did a great job bringing the paint back to a nice shine. The SRT-8 is the way to go for power on this car. Great job once again.

                            Thanks guys.

John, do you own a Challenger?

I'm 6'3" and the first time I go in one, I thought hmm good head room. Usually my hair touches the roof of any car I get into and I can't see out the window without hunching over. When I then realized that the seat was all the way up in the Challenger, I was in shock. It is a seriously roomy car. It's almost cave like, it has so much room inside.
