This is a tired old familycarrier, the owner wanted to make it more shimmering, as well as having sturdy protection before the winter sets in, pretty soon..

The car looked pretty dull, it had a lot of swirls from bad washing, and some light oxidation that stole a fair bit of gloss from it`s reflection.
Wheels were baked in burnt-in brakedust.

    A few before wash-pics:

    so, washing process:
Wheel Brightener 4:1 and 10:1 for rims, APC+ for tires and wheelwells

The entire car was soaked in solvent, before thoroughly rinsed

Then, it was foamed, using a mix of Shampoo Plus, Hyperwash and water

After foam was rinsed, the car was washed with a chenille washmitt, and NXT soap. Dried with two Watermagnets.
-No pics, i`m afraid You know what it looks like

    Paint inspection:

I knew the paint probably was pretty hard, so the first weapon i tried, was #105 via LC orange pad.

ended up with this: the smaller scratches are gone, but the pad left some marring. Expected? No -but it`s ok, since this was planned to be a two-step correction.

For the curved part of the hood, i used a smaller LC pad so that i could get to all the parts, and to avoid burning the paint due to pad not being flat on surface.

    bit of dusting

Various pads were used for correcting, LC 4" and 6" Orange, Polishing and Cutting SoftBuff pads, and Burgundy Wool Pad

a few pics from defect removal:

after this, my trusted apprentice was working over all areas with the DA.
#205 via yellow SoftBuff pad, mix of "205 and #105 on the heavily hologrammed parts (where the wool had been)

    finishing prep before wax removal:

Finished pics where different on this one. Since the rain was pouring down anyway, I decided to foam-wash the car to get all polishdust off

    Products used:

Shampoo Plus, Hyperwash, NXT soap -Chenille mitt
MG #105 and #83 for defect removal
Mg #205, and some #105 for polishing and hologram removal

MG #21 Synthetic Sealant 2,0. Healed for 12 hrs.
MG #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax as LSP

Interior was freshed up with APC 10:1, QID and #40

Some of my pics are missing, may be more to come later.

    Thanks for looking!

Great save.; The paint looks great.

Like the ramp you have. Makes everything a lot easier.

              Thanks everyone.
The paint on this one was kind of weird. At first, I thought it was really soft, because all the swirls came out real quick, and i had some holograms even with just the orange LC pad.
However, the RDS were tough. Almost seemed like the paint got harder the deeper i cut.

Car ended up looking good in the end though.

JA, the ramp was set up pretty easily an afternoon, and helps ALOT on my back, knees as well as the quality on the finish on lower panels. I would recommend building one for anyone who don`t want to cash out $2000+ for a lift.

I even do minor repairs like oil and exhaust in my own car with this setup.
