  • 1994 Corvette

This was just a single stage polish with a 94 'Vette. My process:

    Wash w/ Gold Class shampoo
Clay the surface with Clay Magic bar and Megs QD
Two passes of UC with the DA on a finishing pad
Finished off with Megs Gold Class wax.

It had quite a few swirls and this particular corner had some really bad marring. Looks like something had scraped it.

You can see some of what the swirls looked like. Not too bad for a car this age. (Bear with me, the camera wasn't that great)

Believe it or not, this is not just lighting. This is an actual color change from polishing. It cleared up that well.

It is kind of hard to see but right in the middle of the picture, you can see the color change here. There was a panel right behind the convertible top that had some oxidation. This is kind of a 50/50 shot.

And here is a close up all finished

Not too shabby for a 6 hour quickie. I am a Corvette geek so I had a lot of fun with this one.

Hurry up, I can't wait much longer. I love me a C4 Corvette.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Ok, I think I have figured it out.

This is the marring on the rear drivers corner

And a 50/50 after a couple of passes with UC
        IMAG0068

Here are just some of the swirls she had
        IMAG0059

And this one strip had done some oxidizing
        IMAG0062

This is kind of a half and half shot of that same strip. You can see the color change.

        50/50 of the hood
        IMAG0072

A nice reflection shot in the garage
        IMAG0073

        Here she is all finished
        IMAG0079

        IMAG0081

And a close up of the pain afterwards. As you can see, this green is just beautiful

        Not bad.

The funniest part of this is that this gentleman has a neighbor who has the exact same year, make, model, and even color.
