  • Drive on Water.......Discovery Channel Ultimate Car Build Off by Innovative Detailing

Earlier this year asked to participate in this really cool project that would later air on the Discovery Channel. Little did I know that it would be the final episode of the Ultimate Car Build Off, hosted by Lou Santiago and ACP.

    This was the final episode

    DRIVE ON WATER

    Premieres Sept. 9, 2010
For the Ultimate Car Build-Off final episode, the three city winners have to make a car or truck drive on water. The winner will walk away with a grand prize of $100,000.

After coordinating with the production company, I met them out at Irvine Lake early at about 7:00am for the unveiling of these unique builds...I agreed with them and their non disclosure agreement until after the final episode aired before being able to post any photos..

Here are some of the "Pre production" detailing photos that I was able to take while we were on the set.

Unique looking vehicles to say the least. Looks like a cold, but good time.

I just saw that episode and I was sitting there thinking that it looks like they had a pro detail those rigs before the big finale. LMAO though when the jetboat/jeep hit the water. I had a vision in my head that those tire were gonna throw a hellava lot of water since they had no fenders on them. Great show though.....
          Black......the ONLY color!

Good eye!.....When I saw the episode I just could not believe they did not think about the whole tire/fender issue on the jetboat/jeep....she went down!!!! After detailing these builds that day, between us we all new that the Airboat/Truck would win all the way..

Here is a little video I put together that morning of a test run they did on two of the builds....
