  • Interior Project Preview/Primer

Recently I got my large order of Meguiar Products.
Most of these items you can get online only. More reviews to come but this one was one of the most important products I needed for interiors and stains removal.

My wife's car will be the big project but before I tackle that, I had to get used to product and see how it reacts.

Meguair's All Purpose Cleaner Plus (APC+)

Using Filtered Water I ratio the mixture 4:1 for Heavy Duty Cleaning. Thankfully the designated bottles have the Ratio Hash marks on them.
The solution has a delightful orange smell as well.

I beat the rug against a wall to knock loose dirt, dry brush, vacuumed. Then I micro waved up some water. From there I sprayed down the carpet, let sit, and then brushed with the hot water. Blotted and scrubbed with a clean Terry Cloth towel.

I did not need an extractor but if I did a large scale project, for speed I will be using it, especially on customer cars.

The pics show the transitions. I did not think the beginning one did not look too bad but OMG the camera does not lie eh.

    Nice job. Those were nasty!!

For floor mats, I've found it to do a much deeper cleaning if you dampen the mats, spray APC, work it in, then hose them off. It gets deep down and removes all the junk right down to the base of the fibers.

I do a similar process, but for my rinse I spray them with a pressure washer from top to bottom while hanging on the wall. Lets all of the junk roll out.

How long did it take for those results?

For this mat I spent about a good 10-15 minutes on it. IF doing a car I would be setting it up as a production line and hitting all of them the same way.

I was working on my wife's grey mat and did not come out as good as I had hoped BUT considering how long it stayed dirty, I may just have to spring for some mats.

I'll have to give this a shot.

Fantastic results. The mat was a mess.

Once in a pinch, a customer mats were bad. I used a lot of product and water to clean them. I could not get enough water out of the mats. Time was running short. I decided to place the mats carpet side our in the wash machine. Set it on spin. Believe it or not it did a great job. Made short order in drying the mats.
