I asked Tuck91 if I could post these here.

I wanted to know what you guys think of this color. I think either you'll love it, or hate it. Personally... I love it on this sporty truck.

This was the truck that inspired me to purchase an '09 GMC Sierra regular cab standard box (same as this truck). I went with black, because orange is a custom order color fleet color. Notice how it doesn't even come with body side moldings (which I think looks very good). This particular truck was about $10,000 more than I wanted to spend, it's loaded MSRP ($40,000 CAD) ouch!

I also went with black, because I think in a couple years I'd get bored of this color.

          What do you think?

          like it / hate it

Nick, what do you think of it, do you like it? I'm sure it's 1000X more forgiving than black.
It is an AWESOME color (called Stealth Gray Metallic or Blue Granite Metallic depending if it's a GMC or Chevy), and yes it's definitely 1000x more forgiving than black about 95% of the time. It's the same color as my truck:

              Bill, thanks for the pics.

I like the color of that truck.

I wish it had body side moldings though, maybe a long bed would be nice.

It sure is stickered highly though, I would imagine it could be talked down though.

I have an identical set on my Tahoe (see my avatar) and I polish them at least monthly with Meguiar's NXT or Hot Rims and they aren't nearly as shiny as the rims above!! I do know mine are polished aluminum, but the rims in the above picture almost look chrome. Mine have a bit of a cloudy look to them and they aren't so crisp & clear as these.

                And, great job as usual!!

                  Kyla,

I am pretty sure the rims are chrome.

Yours are aluminum so they will not look as clear and shiny as the ones on the Sierra.

And yes, all I did was wash them.

I think you're right; if I remember correctly they offered two versions of those wheels with different finishes on them, but don't quote me on that.

On the first truck....did you use anything on the exterior plastic?

Soap and water, then Quik Interior Detailer later on.

I figured they might have been chrome because I know polished aluminum just doesn't shine that, but I didn't know GM made these rims in two different finishes.

I guess I just had to ask to see if I was doing anything wrong polishing mine the way I do because these looked so fabulous!!

                              Hey, thanks guys! Much appreciated!

These are the GMC wheels, I'd like to have (GMC center cap of course).

They look like old school Cragars, but in a 6 bolt pattern. I love to see them in a traditional 5 bolt pattern.
